7th March – 4th April The Stephen Lawrence Gallery Redstart Arts presents work produced during a series of recent studio collaborations with artists from APT Studios. These collaborations involved practising artists working alongside artists with learning disabilities (Redstarts). Together they produced work evolving from the artist’s own practise: in the form of methods, techniques and idea possibilities. Studio Collaborations demonstrates the experimental and innovative ideas that were explored during the workshops: including highly visual 2D and 3D artwork, installation and performance. A section of the exhibition will also present the subsequent work produced by the APT Studio artists resulting from the collaborative experience. The exhibition will demonstrate and expand on the current debates around Inclusivity and ART for HEALTH initiatives. The exhibition is open for viewing from 7th March until 4th April (2014) during gallery hours: 10am – 5pm Mondays – Fridays; 11am – 4pm Saturdays The gallery has step-free access.
