Redstart Arts are looking for Arts Marketing & Arts Admin volunteers
Redstart Arts aims to develop and deliver visual arts for adults with learning disabilities. We act as a platform for artists with learning disabilities, enabling them to work collaboratively with creative professionals to create high quality art, installations or products that have a valued place within the visual and applied arts world. Since forming in 2011, our programmes have aimed to foster individual creativity, develop critical thinking and challenge ideas around inclusion and acceptance. We have previously exhibited at APT Gallery and Stephen Laurence Gallery, as well as having two public art installations. We are funded by the Arts Council. We are looking for a volunteer to help us with arts marketing and general admin. You will be assisting in the production of local arts projects that will work with young adults with learning disabilities, and also helping to expand and develop Redstart Arts as an organisation. This would suit someone who has:
An interest in the arts and/or community work.
The ability to communicate with a range of different people and strong written skills.
An interest/skills in marketing.
Excellent organisation skills.
A commitment to contributing to a small team and undertaking a wide range of different tasks.
We are currently based in the Deptford Lounge and Horniman Museum. You will need to be able to commit to volunteering for approximately one day a week for 3 months, this will be flexible to fit around your schedule.
